Indians have been getting arms from Lipanes with which they were able to strike at friendly groups. Mentions that there are 9 traders in Rio sauca area. They are paid in stolen horses and mules by Indians. Cabello has instructed Vial in methods to use when he goes to some Indian villages en route to New Mexico. (R. Graham) (1980)
