Cabello refutes claims by governor of Coahuila that Lipanes were involved in arms trade with Cocos and Mayeyes on the grounds that Lipanes would not venture past Guadalupe River because of fear of Comanches. Concerns a visit by de Meszieres who was accompanied by 25 Tancagues. While those were there, some Lipanes arrived to visit Cabello. Lipanes camped 8 leagues from Bexar until Cabello gave Tancagues safe Passage to Rio Colorado. Mentions that strength of Bexar is weak and that vecinos had to make-up escort. Discusses ceremony in which Tancague chief, el Mocho was given a medal and baston and says he will be glad to do so for other chiefs from northern tribes.
