Summary
A Ladino of castillian tongue arrives in El Paso and tells Spaniards that his fidelity to them nearly cost him his life. He tells of revolt conspiracy and present state of affairs in New Mexico, as well as of Pueblo-Apache relations. Don Luis Tupata is present leader of pueblos, and he and his henchmen have killed persons siding with Spaniards and will not allow catholicism to be practiced or Spanish language to be spoken. (C. Summary
An account of contact between Spaniards and two tribes, Jumanes and Shulimes. These two live close by, are friendly to each other and Spaniards, trade with Spaniards, and wish to have Spaniards come and aid them in their war with Apache. A native account of arrival of Spaniards is given. The two tribes ask Spaniards, represented by 10 Jumanas captains, to return to their lands. A list of trade goods is given. Indians also wish some religious to accompany and baptize them. (C. Briggs) (1975)

Summary
A Humana Indian called Sabeata in native tongue and Don Juan in Spanish comes to El Paso on request of his chiefs to express friendship with Spaniards and to ask on behalf of his nation and their friends and neighbors julimas for missionaries to care for christians and to baptize 10,000 souls seeking this aid. They also wish assistance fighting nearby Apache. A miracle in which a cross descends from heaven and aids them in fighting is told. When questioned through an interpreter, witness told of other nations, including Texas, who will receive the Spaniards. (C. Briggs, 1975) (A. Dell'acqua, may 13,1987)
