A criminal action against Antonio Santiesteban, a soldier in the Santa Fe presidio company, who allowed a ute prisioner to escape while he was on guard duty. Santiesteban was a Member of a military expedition which was returning to Santa Fe. Santiesteban was cashiered from the presidio company, and was exiled to Belem for one year. (R. Jackson) (1980)

A criminal action against Pedro de la Cruz, an Indian, who had intended to flee to the Comanche with a female Indian servant of Antonio Martin to serve as his concubine. Pedro de la Cruz was sentenced to five years labor in an Obraje in Socorro, and his wages of 3 pesos per month, a total of 180 pesos, will be paid into the royal treasury. (R. Jackson) (1980)

A criminal action against Manuel Baca, who refused to obey an order from the Superior government. In the presence of many people, Baca stated that he would not obey a decree, even though he was given three opportunities to change his mind. Baca was to be exiled to Taos for a year and fined 50 pesos, but was pardoned because of his poor health. (R. Jackson) (1980)

An investigation of the death of Indian servant, employed by Pedro Garcia, who was killed by a thrown stone and was beaten with a club. Francisco Gutierrez was judged guilty and as a result was deprived of office and was fined 10 pesos to cover court costs. (R. Jackson) (1980)

A legal action begun by Antonio Baca against, Hernando Chaves for having slandered him. Baca was made to pay court costs of 10 pesos, and Chabez was released from jail. (R. Jackson) (1980)

An order for Joseph Baca to notify Ysidro Sanchez that if he continues to cause trouble, be will be fined 50 pesos and 15 days in the pillory. (R. Jackson) (1980)

A criminal case involving Joseph de Armijo and Gertrudis de Segura, who were Charged with having threatened Armijo's wife, Juana Martin, with words and actions. Gertrudis de Segura was exiled to the presidio del Paso del Rio del Norte for four years, and Armijos was told to treat his wife well. Juana Martin later asked that Gertrudis de Segura not be sent to El Paso, so she was exiled instead to Santa Cruz de la Canada. (R. Jackson) (1980)

A complaint by Francisca Salas against Joseph Baca, the Alcalde mayor of Albuquerque, who had put her Husband and Father in jail. gregorio Xaramillo and Francisca Salas were each fined 30 pesos and Joseph Salas was fined 20 pesos for involving the Alcalde mayor in a legal action which had no basis.

Quintana and 2 other Apaches escape from guard house and take 2 women with them. Captured. Quintana as leader of the escape is sentenced to 200 lashes in public and sent to Chihuahua to work in the mines. (R. Jackson) (1980)
