Summary
Quintana accuses Truxillo of stealing two of his horses, and starts legal proceedings against him. With the ensuing investigation, however, it turns out that the horses were taken by two Indian youths, one of them a servant of Truxillo's, who were attempting to flee to another area. Eventually, Truxillo and Quintana come to a settlement, at the behest of Mogollon, who also orders that the Indians be Charged with paying the cost of the suit, both legal and personal, by laboring for a number of years, Andres for his master, Truxillo; and, Xptobal, under captain Balverde, in whose custody he is placed.
