Summary
Excellent report on the reduction of various Janos and jocames bands at Casas Grandes. A step by step description of the process; the settlement, the planting of crops, the baptisms and marriages. Gives a list of the Indians involved, their approximate age group-the money paid for sacraments, the gifts given to them by the governor. Also, a false assumption by the local priest that the Cocoyomes and acocolames have resigned themselves to peace. (T. Barnes) (1976)
