Summary
Report on efforts to reduce Conchos and Chinarras still hiding in the mountains. With offers of land, water and livestock as inducements and using Jesuits and Franciscans as negotiators. The Indians rejected the offer and began attacking settlements. Testimony on the veracity of this account of the start of the war follows. Includes Indian witnesses.
