Summary
Letter is a brief but useful report on religious activities in durago and north. The governor asks for a bishop to be appointed because of the large numbers of new converts. Interesting remarks on the need to force non-tributary paying Indians to help fund religious activities. Pacification is gradually spreading. Complains of problems with colonists who brutalize and exort the natives. (J. Grusin) (1975)
