Because attack was perpetrated by Tecoalmes, Rivera advises against vengeance against Coras suggested by Carranza y Guzman. Indian prisoners removed to Querataro for security reasons. Summary
Documents concerning expedition to find route from San Diego and Monterrey; weapons are requested due to repeated Indian attacks. folio 390 unrelated. It deals with authorizing surgery on deceased pregnant women. 20 more soldiers are requested for expedition. Diary is kept on Indian populations encountered and terrain discovered. Report that some Indians have beards. Documents are in random order and basically deal with expedition to San Diego to find new connecting routes with Monterrey. (M. Marroquin. September, 1988)

Summary
Series of documents concerning retirements of military officials. Request of military weaponry for presidios (list includes ammunition, cannons, shotguns, birolas, Espadas...). Approval for a chaplain for Terrenate. Diaries sent to viceroy on expedition to Rio Colorado and Gila; new Indians are found; prisoners are taken; tobacco is requested to deter soldiers from desertion. Viceroy recommends treating Indians well. (M. Marroquin. September, 1988)
