Summary
Several letters dealing with the conflict between the bishop and Rubalcaba. Letter from Rubalcaba to Herrera complaining that his salary has been delayed by orders of the bishop. The governor interrogates all the people involved in the matter of Rubalcaba, requests advice from fiscal Mexia in the problem of Rubalcaba. Gobernador sends the autos in the case of Rubalcaba to the virrey. The real Audiencia requests autos from the bishop. Letter from the king to bishop requesting he consider the case of Rubalcaba. fiscales from Mexico Argue that the bishop is abusing his power. (D. Bautista, February 1990)

Summary
This Series of documents deals with the conflict that arose from the excommunication of Rubalcaba made by bishop Valdes. Rubalcaba asks the governor to intercede in the excommunication. Letter from Obispo to gobernador explaining why Rubalcaba still is excommunicated and making the real Audiencia in Mexico City responsible for any change. Rubalcaba writes to the governor accusing the bishop of being against him for personal reasons. The governor sends an explanation of the problem to the real Audiencia requesting their advice. They suspend the excommunication of Rubalcaba. (D. Bautista, February 1990)

Summary
Autos concerning the excommunication of administrator Valiente for avoiding payment of diezmos. Letter from Michoacan to virrey accusing Valiente of avoiding payment. jueces hacedores of Valladolid and Guadalaxara claim that the Diezmos are for their own churches. Valiente request advice from fiscal Mangino in the matter of the diezmos and the excommunication. Mangino informs virrey of the charges against Valiente and requests his judgment. Accounting relacion of payments made by several administrators from the mission of California since 1743 till 1768, with the amounts of payment. Letter from bishop of Guadalaxara claiming that the diezmos from Valiente belong to his church, that those haciendas were exempt from paying Diezmos when administered by Jesuits. (D. Letter from Belena to the secretaria del virreynato reporting several maps considered useful for the comission in the division. Letter from king to virrey approving what has been done in the matter of the new Catedral. Copies of the decree of the year 1773 concerning the establishment of the new church. Muniz, administrator of diezmos, sends a report to gobernador Santianez; letter from Obispo of Guadalaxara to virrey in agreeing to the division. Requested autos concerning canonry Vote of vacant seats of Dean y Cavildo; legible copies of correspondence in previous groupings; asks for pardon of delays as bishop out of town; notes formation of commisary of five people not including people too Young to Vote, E.g. Monseratte, Urbina; lack of qualifications seen as sufficient to deny canonry position, criminal charges also noted; arguments about length in grade; protest of 500 pesos fine as arbitrary and beyond a priests ability to pay; argument that age requirement of 30 years ignored when canonry positions need to be filled; autos prepared by Urbina not considered complete enough to allow him to Vote; Urbina's time allowed to Pose opposition over; qualifications of successful canonry candidates outlined; prejudice Charged in not allowing opposition to Vote; charge that successful candidate also under-age; notice that Urbina and Monserrate presented decision that opposition to canonry Vote invalid and that criminal charges of disobedience be continued; Natera and Echevarria considered legitimately admitted to canonry by canonry college; Monserrate requests to See denegrating autos, protests drawn out proceedings, asks for judgement (p.
