Summary
Account of Cazorla's expedition to southeast coast of Texas to search for English that are illegaling trading arms and other goods and who are cutting wood for houses. Cazorla finds no direct evidence of English traders, though he does find Indians with English guns. He finds some French and black traders whom he arrests. He finds remains of a wrecked Spanish or French vessel. (T. Cederstrom, March 1987)

Documents refer to travel from Cadiz to Veracruz of eleven missionaries captured by French pirates, imprisoned on Island of Guadalupe. Liberated by Englishmen who shipped them to puerto Rico where five of these missionaries died; others shipped to Veracruz for missions in California. Documents detail expenses incurred by crown for their support, transportation, cure and burial. Monies paid to officials for same issues. (A. Dell'acqua, may 1988)

Vildosola liquidated a Rancheria which he had been fighting since April, he killed the majority and sent 14 prisoners to Guaymas. After this 40 Pima families came down from the Cerro Prieto wanting peace and relief from persecution and hunger, Father Joachin Valdes talked to the Indians. (M. Bowman) (1979)
