Concerns Series of documents dealing with conflict that arose between colonizers of Villa de San Fernando, province of Texas and Nuevas Filipinas. Sixteen families came to colonize. Colonizers are given land and water rights. Series of documents explaining boundaries of each property which was distributed to dwellers. Conflict arose between alcalde mayor Curbelo, and colonizers who complained with higher authorities (governor Sandoval and viceroy). Report of diputacion cabecera de Jurisdiccion de minas; begins with three printed pages of guidelines for reports from each real (mining town). Each real to list 1) number of people, condition of town; 2) names of mines, owners, products; 3) number, names of haciendas supported by mines; 4) quantity of Mineral extracted; 5) quantity of Azoque needed proportional to Actual mine products; 6) list of natural resources in area of mines; 7) drawbacks of area. Report concerns primarily mines of Chihuahua, Santa Eulalia, Cosiguriachi, Parral. Gives total, annual silver production 1703 to 1791 in Santa Eulalia, 1731 to 1791 in Chihuahua. Discusses peso value of silver, distances between mines, other places; history of founding of Santa Eulalia, including names of all duenos with list of assets of each. Concerns summary of Camano's logbook in his exploration trip around San Blas, but is not chronological and is incomplete. He describes physical characteristics, war tools, man and woman physical traits, man and woman adornments, weapons, fish and hunting tools of the Indians. Types of trees, animals, fishes, plants, and metals are also described. Emphasis is given to good looking physical appearance of the Indians as well as to their easy going attitude towards the Espanoles. (R. Gomez, September 1989)

Concerns Series of documents reporting on destruction inflicted by Indians upon provincias del Poniente. Charges of negligence are brought against military officials who were not doing their job in controlling Indians. Apaches have stolen and killed animals as well as vasallos in haciendas and pueblos. Complet reorganization of presidios and military personnel is suggested to stop Indians from committing more crimes. Resources and potential capacity to support inhabitants in each presidio is given and analyzed (document contains lista of presidios and their military personnel. They also include notes in which military supplies, such as gunpowder, weapons and food are listed.
