Documents relate the establishment of compania de Patriotas Voluntarios de Tula and role of said company contra indios barbaros y Insurgentes. honors and service of company described. F. 29 tells of reconquest of Tula in 1811 and formation of compania de Patriotas Voluntarios. 1813 reconquest of Texas and battles of Bexar and Medina noted. Compania de Patriotas de Cadereyta granted right to form itself due to circumstances of insurrection. Torres approves of usefulness of establishing said company at Cadereyta. (P. Lenz, may 1990)

Relacion of several Indians who want amnesty to live in pueblo mesquital. Relacion contains names and how many are with their families. Letter from the governor of Sonora to the virrey informing him of the happiness of the americans when they heard the king's declaration. Garcia Alexo reports that the rebels who caused the disturbance in Bavispe have been identified and suggests virrey recognize the patriotic behavior of Evangelista Barrios, chief of the Opatas. Letter from Lomban for Cordero informing him that Apaches stole some horses but the next day he sent a party to search for Apaches and they recovered stolen animals; Garcia informs virrey of advice given to gobernador of Sonora to leave military command to only one person while he is gone because of problems when two people are in charge; Garcia informs virrey that money for troops of the gobernador Cordero is available in caxas de Arispe. Summary
Documents concerning information given from Garcia to virrey dealing with negotiations of gobernador from Nueva Mexico with the Comanches; relacion signed by the Cura Barraza containing the names of the Indian rebels who receive royal pardon and place they will settle. Relacion contains name of the rebel, where he is from, name of his Father, occupation, age, and rank within the rebel organization. Letter from Romero for Lomban informing him of a campaign against Apaches and deplorable situation of military armaments, some soldiers had to throw stones at Apaches. Romero reports to Lomban a baston that was taken from two dead Apaches and was supposed to belong to an Apache chief; letter from Lomban for virrey explaining that the troops of the north are weak in armaments. Summary
Documents recount Series of Indian raids against San Juan, San Pablo, and other haciendas in area in which many men and livestock were killed. Other haciendas terrorized by dumping of victims' bodies from previous raids. Spanish troops engage in battle, but nightfall allows Indians to escape. Arredondo writes to virrey that Texas lacks sufficient troops and material to adequately protect residents from Indian hostilities. Includes inventory of troop strength at all Texas presidios to support plea for assistance. Concludes with verifications of receipt by tesoreria de Texas of 6 thousand pesos to alleviate situation. Summary
Letters from Escandon for virrey informing him about campaign he is preparing against Indians. Escandon mention that around 200 soldiers will pursue the Indians Sihuy until they are exterminated; the other Series of documents are dealing with requested permission from Boix to virrey. Boix presents virrey two medical statements from convents of San Diego and San Francisco, where the doctors conclude that the illness of Boix is una afeccion histerica hipocondriaca. Fiscal suggests virrey not give permission because those concepts are confusing, besides the law says Boix has to remain Ten years before leaving; virrey orders Arzobispo to name other doctors to determine the disease of Boix. The next two doctors give the same diagnosis. (D. Bautista, June 1990)
