Alonso de Leon refers to the first celebration of Corpus in Texas in the year 1690. He also mentions how they rescue French people. In the big rancherias they try to count the Indians some group of Indians were up to 490. Diary of Munoz 1773 speaks of past local Tepehuane revolts in Zape, tizonara, which did not involve entire Indian nation. Arms pacified revolts, restored peace. Briefly mentions other reduccioners provoked by Indian petty crimes and depredations-emphasizes that entire nation not affected. States that converted Apaches are responsible for San Bartholome and Cosiguriachi raids--not unconverted Apaches. Queipo de Llano, noting that 90 Indian prisoners cannot realistically be dealt with, suggests punishment of ring leaders alone and publication of castigation to Tarahumaras as a warning. (S.
