Tepeguan Indians from Pueblo of San Pablo accuse rancher Pedro Villalobos of attacking them, whipping them, seizing their horses. Villalobos replies that since he suffers much loss of livestock from Ladrones, he assumed Indians, who didn't have permission to be more than two leagues from their Pueblo, were thieves. Charges and countercharges leveled by civil, religious authorities against each other; Franciscans accused of working the Indians without pay, charging them obenciones for burials, baptisms; justicia mayor Araoz accused of seizing Indian land, water and forcing them to work on his hacienda; Suma Indian who escaped from Collera bound for Mexico City accused of inciting Conchos Indians to flee. Gobernador Alday charges Coaguileno Indians of Santa Rosa de Nadadores with rebellion and apostasy, claiming they and their gobernador, Don Pablo- 1) left their mission; 2) incited Cocoyomes to rebellion; 3) Allied themselves with Coaguilenos at Cinco Senores led by Don Pablo's Brother Don Francisco, as well as Cabesas at Parras; 4) committed murders and robberies, including attack on Monclova in 1721. Sarmiento, appointed Juez comisario by Alday, interrogates the Nadadores Coaguilenos, imprisoned in Parral jail. Don Pablo informs him Coaguilenos fled Nadadores because of trouble at Coaguila presidio. Alday recommends Indian prisoners be deported.
