Certification by Ripperda concerning military service by Pacheco. Mentions official order concerning relocation of presidios. Diary and letter reporting on Apache attack on San Joseph Paraje and efforts to hunt down culprits. Gives information on number of Leguas Marched, terrain, vegetation, and settlements. Summary
Series of letters and reports concerning Indian prisoners and escape of group of them. Pacheco reports on arrival of Indian prisoners at Saltillo, condition of captivity, number of prisoners, and transfer of women prisoners to Rio Grande presidio as ordered. Also recounts in detail escape of prisoners and attempt to recapture them. Series of reports written by Scribe I name of Pacheco attesting to escape and efforts made to recapture prisoners. Draft letters from viceroy(?) Concerning proper treatment of prisoners and matter of their escape. (S. Fiederlein, 4-20-87)

Reports on hospitalization of Cabo Martinez and soldado Gutierrez at Hospital San Ypolito de Mexico for demencia (insanity) suffered while transporting Apache prisoners from Janos to Mexico City. Documents include letters by Salcedo/Cabo Martinez passport signed by Iturrigaray/copy royal order of 12, July 1800 directing payment of soldiers hospitalization/order for 100 pesos list of provisions for Cabo Martinez return to Janos. G. Lavalley (January 1987).
