Summary
Juana Montano accuses Nicolas de Chaves of promising to marry her, then taking her virginity and siring her two children, and now refusing to marry her. Chaves is taken prisoner. He admits that he did promise marriage to Montano, but says that he later had reason to suspect her fidelity, and was not certain that the second child was his. Later, Chaves agrees to marry Montano, and the governor releases him from prison. (Lloyd Kendall) (1980)

Summary
Dirucaca, an Indian of Pecuries, is accused of multiple her daughters; of practicing witchcraft, reputedly involving the deaths of a number of persons, including some women who rejected his illicit advances; of inciting the natives of his town to ignore and defy the teachings of the Christian priests. There is some convincing evidence against him, and he is imprisoned. But, then, it is discovered that he knows the location of a silver mine. In exchange for showing the Spanish authorities the site of the mine, the charges against dirucaca are dropped and he is released; with the stipulations that he can no longer reside in Pecuries, and that he pay the procedural costs of the suit against him; (twenty one pesos). Summary
Ramon Duran and his wife were looking for their Burro one evening when they came across Clemente Veedor apparently committing bestiality with a Burra. Duran and his wife called in some neighbors who witnessed Veedor buttoning up his pants. Although four witnesses corroborate durans evidence, Veedor denies all charges and the Alcalde is unable to pass a sentence. He passes the case on to Francisca Jose de Urrutia, who responds the case against Veedor isn't strong because the principle witness is an indio. At the end of the document Veedor, after 18 months in prison, is looking for a new lawyer. (P. Hayes) (1977)
