1810 : DONATED 100,000 PESOS TO FERDINAND VII, HAVING MADE A FORTUNE WHEN HE BOUGHT AND WORKED THE MINES "EL CARMEN" AND"LOS TAJES". 1813 : THE TITLES WERE BESTOWED UPON HIM IN APPRECIATION FOR HIS DONATION TO THE CROWN. IN THE SAME YEAR, HE GAVE 150,000 PESOS TO THE REAL CAJA DE CHIHUAHUA. IN RETURN, IN 1818, THE KING CONFIRMED THE TITLES GIVEN PREVIOUSLY AND MADE BUSTAMANTE AN HONORARY COLONEL. HE RETURNED TO SPAIN SHORTLY AFTER MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE. 1813 : MAY 27, COMENDADOR DE SAN FERNANDO.
