PARTICIPATED IN MANY CAMPAIGNS, FOUGHT AGAINST SERI AND APACHE INDIANS, TOOK PART IN THE EXPEDITION TO GUAYMAS, FOUGHT IN THE BATTLE OF SAN YGNACIO DE PIASTLA, FEB 8, 1811. EVALUATED AS A GOOD OFFICER. AS OF DEC 31, 1817, HE WAS IN THE FIELD FIGHTING THE INSURGENTS OF THE MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE MOVEMENT AND HAD BEEN FOR THE PAST 6 MONTHS.
