Summary
Series of accusations against Diego de Vargas for fraud and excess in usurpation of funds from the royal treasuries destined for benefit of the people. It also indicates favoritism and abuse or neglect of duty on the part of Vargas. Condition of starvation in Santa Fe area is mentioned as well as uprisings in 14 pueblos and profanation of churches-both in 1695. (R. Saba) (1980)
