Testimony of Indian woman named Maria de la Encarnacion, kidnapped by 2 Indians and one Mulatto, taken to cave, where she witnessed the murder of nearby ranch hand, who the 3 captors lo desnudaron y lo degollaron los Dos indios con un Belduque y el Jose (the Mulatto) Le tuvo de las Piernas. investigators however find no trace of the mutilated body in the cave, nor hear of any murder from anyone else and begin to question Maria's veracity and motives.
