Service records, biographies, and honors of Lopez de Aro and Montano. Personal characteristics (age, height, religion, etc.) and military campaigns mentioned. Battle of San Ignacio de pintla (February 8, 1811) prominent in documents. Battle totally destroyed Coronel Hermosillo's large insurgent army. Many (6000) left dead, and arms and equipment left on battlefield. Other document concerns honors granted for such heroic deeds to Lopez de Aro and Montano. (P. Lenz, February 1989)
