This Series of documents deals with the conflict that arose from the excommunication of Rubalcaba made by bishop Valdes. Rubalcaba asks the governor to intercede in the excommunication. Letter from Obispo to gobernador explaining why Rubalcaba still is excommunicated and making the real Audiencia in Mexico City responsible for any change. Rubalcaba writes to the governor accusing the bishop of being against him for personal reasons. The governor sends an explanation of the problem to the real Audiencia requesting their advice.
