Summary
Petition by Charles for release from the real carcel in Mexico City where he was being held for crime of desertion from the Santa Barbara presidio. Documents include sworn testimony of numerous individuals concerning case as well as one from governor Blanco stating that Charles was not a soldier of said presidio at the time he supposedly deserted.
