Describes plans Sumas, allies Mansos from Patu, Chinarras, Janos, Jocomes, to gather 10 leagues from Casas Grandes, devastate area. States Alcalde mayor Casas Grandes captain Salazar planning to evacuate Pueblo unless help arrives, there by abandoning fertile Valley wheat, maize, more than 20,000 cattle. Claims such attack could destroy Opata nation, allies of Spaniards, Sonora itself. Notes Christian Sumas attempting to remain faithful to Spaniards but threatened by hostile Indians.
